The Blue River is near Tishomingo (which is about 30 miles east of Ardmore and I-35) there is a stretch of the Blue River populated with a series of some 50 granite ledges; 6 of them create waterfalls that are 6 feet or better and another 2 are reportedly 8 and 12 feet. Though nearly flat for 40 miles, the Blue River collects water from over 200 square miles of watershed.
